Design Production for 18.Ten tableware
Innovative product designer Elizabeth Wennell at 18.Ten (www.18ten.co.uk) produced a set of new tableware that she wanted to bring to market. In order to achieve this she asked Anna Lisovskaya at Fox and Company to create ideas for packaging and advertising.
As Anna wanted to photograph the elegant homeware products in original settings they came to our studio for a couple of days. In addition they brought with them a profusion of concepts and props in order to help bring their ideas to fruition.
18.Ten’s mantra is ‘to bring understated, effortlessly functional and useful objects to your home. By eliminating the unnecessary our collection focuses on the essential. Through simplicity, craftsmanship and quality finishes, our purpose is to produce durable home accessories that create lasting experiences.’ Therefore it was important that we encompassed this ethos within our final shots.
Scamps (Mock Ups)
These were some of the scamps for the houseware photographic shoot that we had before we began. As a result these were very beneficial to give us all a better idea of the end-game.
We also shot some images of the production in order to enable a better idea of how the shoot developed. Also to show how the final choices of photographs were put together.
And so eventually, with much drilling, some blu tack, a glue gun, fishing line, some balancing, salt pouring and sprinkling, hovering of bottle tops, blow drying, cleaning and above all, an abundance of patience and much laughing, we achieved our goal and created these great images.
Thank you ladies, superb teamwork!
